Mental Health Self Help Shortcuts That Work!

Use mental health self help shortcuts to explore within your mind and examine your mental health. Use these tools to reveal the current state of your thoughts and your thinking process. Realize that the inner controls the outer, and thus the external circumstances of your life right now are determined by the thoughts you think!

Learn to reach the place where you fully understand that your repetitive thoughts and the consequent emotions are what determine the direction of your life experience. After all that’s the most self-empowering place to be! And by simply observing your positive and negative thoughts and emotions you'll see this truth for yourself.

On this mental health self help shortcuts page, I'll outline several self-empowering tools that you can use to help you to become more aware of the action of your mind. In addition, I'll go into and explain the built-in emotional guidance system which everyone has. And I'll elaborate on the importance of changing the story you tell yourself daily.

'We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.' Albert Einstein - 1879 - 1955

Mental Health Self Help – Thought Awareness

While you may have been led to believe that external action is what causes change within your life experience, that line of thought is largely erroneous. Although it’s true that masses of external action will net results in the external world, it’s unnecessary and it's far less effective than simply changing the way you think.

By really examining your mind and your thinking process, you’ll get in touch with your feelings and your emotional guidance system. Then you’ll be fully self-empowered to achieve a healthy body and a sound state of mind.

Ultimately, we always get everything that we really desire, imagine, believe in and feel good about, as well as that which we feel badly about and that which we fear. Therefore, it pays to be very clear in our minds about what we really want. And it makes perfect sense to be aware of our thoughts and emotions at all times.

By being aware of your thoughts and choosing to think differently, you’ll gradually learn to gain control of the direction of your thoughts as soon as they arise.

Begin by being consciously aware of your feelings (emotions) as you're thinking about things that you’re not happy about and notice that you don’t feel good. This is always a sign for you to change your current thinking pattern! Immediately start thinking a better thought, either on that subject or on a completely different subject.

Once you’re in the habit of being consciously aware of your thoughts and you refrain from allowing your mind to follow any negative thoughts and to wander off aimlessly in any direction, then your thoughts will be more in harmony with what you say you want and you’ll feel better at the same time

By practicing the mental health self help shortcuts suggested on this page, often, you’ll become more consciously aware of your thoughts, your emotions and your thinking process. And then, due to your 'thought awareness,' over time, you'll gain full conscious control of your mental faculties and you'll feel wonderful, guaranteed!

If, for whatever reasons, you believe that you need help, please remember that in terms of understanding, mentally, everyone is always where they are right now, but that is never a fixed state of mind. With a little positive attention you’ll become clearer, you'll feel better and you’ll see positive change in your life experience.

'Make a decision of what you want, give your attention there, find the feeling place of it — and you're there instantly. There is no reason for you to suffer or struggle your way to or through anything.' Abraham-Hicks - www.abraham-hicks.com

Mental Health Self Help Shortcuts – Feeling It

Have you ever wondered where a feeling comes from? In any moment you can have a good feeling or a bad feeling, but what caused the feeling? Did that feeling just arise from nowhere for no reason? No. A feeling can only arise when you hold a belief about something and you offer thoughts that accompany your belief.

Now that you’re observing your thinking process and the action of your mind, begin to notice the correlation between the thought you just thought, which came from a belief that you hold, and the feeling that immediately followed it. In every case you’ll discover that the feeling arose due to your belief and thoughts about something.

I've become astutely aware of my own emotional guidance system and I now live by it. Through these mental health self help shortcuts I want you to start becoming aware of your own, built-in, emotional guidance system. Everyone has an emotional guidance system which helps us to stay on track to getting that which we say we want.

When a thought isn't serving you. the feeling you get is in the pit of your stomach. Don’t take my word for it, observe it within yourself.

I first heard about the emotional guiding system by reading a great book called The Astonishing Power of Emotions, by Abraham-Hicks. I highly recommend that you get yourself a copy. Bashar goes deeper into the emotional guidance system by reminding us that when we feel bad, it's because we're filtering energy through a negative belief system.

If you’re feeling good all day every day, it's because your thoughts are in alignment with all of the things that you say you want. This means that due to you feeling good, over time, those things will manifest into your reality. However, if you're feeling bad, that's always a signal from your emotional guidance to change your thinking.

mental health self helpYou are worthy. Accepting this about yourself is loving yourself.

If you feel bad, realize that what you’re feeling is a response from your emotional guidance system and it’s telling you that you’re filtering your, in the moment, thoughts through a negative belief system. By being consciously aware of your current line of thoughts and by changing them to better thoughts, you’ll begin feeling better.

This self help depression page goes deeper into feelings and our emotional guidance system. Or if you get angry or anxious often, then this self help for anxiety page will offer some relief. And please consider the treatments for depression advice from someone who’s been there and who understands how you may be feeling.

'Remember, the thoughts that you think and the statements you make regarding yourself determine your mental attitude. If you have a worthwhile objective, find the one reason why you can achieve it rather than hundreds of reasons why you can't.' Napoleon Hill – 1883 - 1970

Mental Health Self Help Shortcuts – Tell a New Story

When you really think about it, you'll realize that everything in our reality came forth from imagination before being realizedas reality. Thus, our life can be understood as an imaginary or fictional story that we first make up and then experience. So your life experience is really nothing more (or less) than a story that you create.

To change any and all health related issues you must first change the mental story that you’ve created in your mind.

Practice these mental health self help shortcuts and start changing the story you've created in your mind. Change the story that you continually repeat to yourself and to others about how your health actually is, into an imagined story about how your health is exactly as you want it to be. And stick to believing in your new story!

We all know people who love to tell us about their health challenges. If they would only realize that their thoughts are the primary cause of their health challenges. And if they’d only refrain from perpetuating their existing condition through repetitive negative thinking and storytelling, they’d be a lot healthier and happier, SURE

Realize that the reason your health is as it is now, is due to your continuous repetitive thoughts and the speeches you make at every opportunity, the story you tell.

It's not possible to make lasting changes to your health, as long as you continue to repeat the same old story over and over in your mind, to yourself and to whomever else will listen. Begin to notice how you feel while you're telling your old health story and realize that even if your story is true, it doesn’t make you feel good!

Start telling yourself a new story - a story in which your health is a bit better than it is now – a story that’s believable to you. And then, slowly, over time, you'll begin to see small changes in your health and you’ll be encouraged to continue telling your new improved health story to yourself and to others around you.

Refrain from telling your old health story and begin making small efforts, by telling an improved health story, at every opportunity. Eventually, you’ll realize that you're definitely seeing improvements in your health. Continue practicing these mental health self help shortcuts often and then, over time, you’ll see positive results, SURE!

Remember: circumstances are always temporary, so focusing less upon what you’re currently experiencing diminishes its power allowing it to change. While it may be difficult to do in the beginning, if you will focus more on how you want things to be and less on what you don’t want, change for the better must and so will start showing up in your life!

Decide what kind of health you want right now and then believe that you can attain it!

As you continue telling your story of improved health, you might feel inspired to consult with a specific health practitioner. Moving in that direction will help to complete your story of improved health, as elaborated through these mental health self help shortcuts. Realize that nature always takes the path of least resistance, so trust your gut on this.

If you feel that you’re currently overweight in any area of your body and you’d like to change that, read this self help weight loss page for novel ways in which you can achieve your weight loss goals, including elaboration on changing your health story into one you prefer.

'Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.' Norman Vincent Peale - 1898 - 1993

Mental Health Self Help – Positive Affirmations

If you feel attracted to this idea, use these positive affirmations or adapt them as you wish. I found it helpful to enlarge the text, then print them out and stick them on my bedroom door so that I saw them upon waking each morning.

I'm so happy and grateful just knowing that my mind is getting clearer daily

I'm extremely happy and grateful now that my mind/body is getting healthier daily

I'm extremely thankful and appreciative, knowing that my body gets healthier with each passing day

Using mental health self help affirmations on a daily basis will help you to remember your new story. Over time, that which you affirm becomes that which you believe. Your solid belief in an improved health story will keep you on track for achieving the kind of health you desire and your natural state of well-being.

Note: If your health is generally good and you want to eradicate any lingering aches and pains from your body, I suggest that you practice these self help skills through traditional Thai massage therapy in order to return to the place of total well-being.

Thus, optimum mental health is necessary for you to enjoy a healthy mind, a healthy body, high self-worth, a stress free life, high self-esteem, ideal body weight, lasting happiness and a wonderful life.

While in a state of appreciation it's not possible to be unhappy because the act of appreciation always helps you to return to a state of happiness.

Now that you're more in control of the direction of your thoughts and you're aware of how you're feeling, here's another great mental health tool, appreciation. You can begin to move towards a really happy state of being right now, by appreciating all of the good things already in your life, as outlined on this self help skill page.

Be Happy Now <> Feel Good Always... then all good things will come your way!

Mental Health Self Help Shortcuts – Staying Focused

Until your health is optimum, when a friend calls you on the phone and asks how you are. Just tell them that you're fine while noticing how that feels. Then immediately move to a different subject rather than complaining about your current health concerns or issues.

Don’t be concerned if at first it seems strange that you’re lying to yourself and to others when doing this process. The advice of these mental health self help shortcuts is, it doesn't matter. Your inner Universe cannot and so does not distinguish between lies or truth, reality or fiction.

The only thing that really matters and will make a difference in your life is the image you create in your mind by the story you tell and how you feel about it. Remember: life always reflects back to you that which you pay most attention to, through the thoughts you habitually think, the beliefs you hold and how you’re feeling.

As you practice mental health self help shortcuts often, little by little, you'll begin to see positive changes in your health and you'll be encouraged to continue telling your new story of improved health and well-being.

Even after noticing small improvements in your health you’ll be encouraged to keep moving towards optimum health, as life intended!

To you 'realizing' your inevitable well-being
